Finally some Modding time.

I managed to get some time with my drone and a soldering iron last night.  I'd ordered a buzzer from Bang Good quite a while ago and decided that I'd take the drone apart and solder up both the VBAT and Buzzer to the Flight Controller.  I also thought I'd run a second cable from the positive battery terminal to use when I mod my receiver so I can get the battery voltage there too.  I still have my Runcam Swift 2 to install so there are a few things I'm hoping to get done tonight.

I started off by taking off the top deck.

Damn, that ibus connector looks bad.  The pins inside the connector were bent and I couldn't get them straight, so I broke a secion of the top off so I could bend the pins out again.  We can see from this shot where the +ve and -ve wires for the Battery Voltage (VBAT) will be soldered, as well as the +ve and -ve wires for the Buzzer.

I then unscrewed the 4 nuts holding the flight controller in.

I had some thin wires and some cable with pin headers already so I cut them to size and stripped the ends ready to go.  A quick join of the red wires and a bit of heat shrink and we were ready to attach them to the +ve and -ve battery inputs.

A nice easy solder and those wires were attached.

Now to do the other end.  That's the VBAT done on the FC.  Now to do the buzzer.

All good.  I'll put this thing back together and mount the buzzer on the lower deck.

I think I'll call it a night and do the RunCam and Receiver mod another night.  I'll also have to do the software config another night as well.  It's late.
