A place to start

Well 2 of the guys in the office have bought some "Nano Quads".  Their price point was around the $35 mark and I was interested initially, but sceptical.

They bought the bright orange Skeye Nano Drone.  After 3 or 4 weeks they arrived.  Oh boy are they tiny or what!?!  Easilly small enough to fly inside they were both buzzing around the office, and with a charge time of what seemed like 10 minutes my interest was increasing.  A simple plug into the USB port on the PC and they're up again in no time.  Flight time was about 5 minutes I think.

A quick trip outside to fly it in the open and one of them crashed into the brick path.  Yep in the whole lawn area they were being flown, it just had to crash land on the path.  The end result was a bent motor.... post?

I race RC cars (1/10 Electric), I have done this on and off for over 10 years.  Let's give something new a go.  I decided that I'd have to invest in one.  The Skeye was sold out by now so I'd have to look for something similar.

After some searching, I thought I'd get myself a Cheerson CX-10 for AU$23.04.  Bargain!

I also invested in a pack of spares.  I actually bought 3 packs of them.  2 White and 1 Green.  One of the white ones was for me and one of each for the other guys so they could tell their drones apart.  That also has a spare motor to repair the damage inflicted by the brickwork outside.

We'll see how these things compare when they arrive.
